What is CBD balm?

CBD balm is a solid, water-free topical made by melting CBD into oils, butters and wax, then letting it set. Because there's no water, it's more concentrated than a cream and stays put in a tin. HempLucid's CBD balms carry 250 mg of full-spectrum CBD in organic coconut oil, cocoa butter and beeswax, in a 0.5 oz tin.

What is the difference between CBD balm and CBD salve?

Practically nothing. Both are water-free blends of oils, butters and wax, and brands use the names interchangeably. Some call softer blends salves and firmer ones balms, but the ingredients and use are the same. If you're shopping for a CBD salve, our lavender and cedarwood balms are exactly that.

How do you use CBD balm?

Warm a small amount between your fingertips - about half the size of a pea is usually enough for both hands - and massage it into clean, dry skin. Add more if you want extra moisture. Patch-test a small area first if you have sensitive skin, avoid eyes and broken skin, and never use body balm on your lips; that's what our lip balm is for.

What is the difference between CBD balm and CBD cream?

Water. CBD cream blends oils with water-based ingredients, so it's lighter and covers larger areas quickly. CBD balm has no water, so it's firmer, more concentrated and travels well. Many customers keep our CBD cream at home and a balm in their bag or desk drawer.

How should I store CBD balm?

Keep it at room temperature with the lid closed. Extreme heat softens a balm and cold firms it up; neither harms it, but the texture is best between the two. Don't leave it in a hot car. Stored well, a tin keeps its scent and texture until it's used up.

Will CBD balm get you high or show up on a drug test?
