HempLucid’s full-spectrum CBD products contain trace amounts of THC (less than 0.3%). Please note: it is possible to test positive on a drug test when consuming even trace amounts of THC.
THC-Free CBD Products:
Our THC-free CBD (broad-spectrum and isolate) products are tested at several intervals of the manufacturing process to ensure undetectable levels of THC. In rare cases, it may be possible to trigger a false positive on a drug test when using THC-free products due to other cannabinoid metabolites.
And while we ensure our broad-spectrum products test at less than 0.001% THC, it’s worth noting that any quality hemp-derived extracts have the potential to trigger a false positive on a drug test, in rare cases. This is true of any THC-free or broad-spectrum hemp products on the market.
For more info, read this blog post about CBD and drug tests.
Our CBD MCT Oil tinctures are coconut-oil based, and our Hemp Seed Oil tinctures are, obviously, hemp seed oil–based. Oil-based tinctures may absorb more slowly than water-based tinctures but the effects may also last longer.
To keep your tinctures properly mixed, we recommend giving them a good shake before each use. Some bottles may require a bit of extra vigor!
HempLucid products are made with natural ingredients, and because of that, hemp extracts will begin to separate from their carrier media over time. This is more noticeable in water-soluble tinctures because of the difference in the density between the hemp extract and organic vegetable glycerin.
If you notice a black spot in your MCT or Hemp Seed Oil tincture, don’t use it! We cannot guarantee the safety or freshness of any products past their best-by date (18 months after manufacture).

We do have some products that are not USDA Organic Certified but are made with organic ingredients.
Our Hemp Seed Oil tinctures and Pets - Chicken Flavor should be refrigerated.

CBD

Of these, CBD and THC are the most abundant and therefore the most studied cannabinoids. However, there are well over 100 trace compounds in cannabis with potential benefits we have yet to explore.
Incredibly, our bodies are naturally wired with receptors that interact with the cannabinoids found in cannabis.

The endocannabinoid system is located in the mammalian brain and throughout the central and peripheral nervous systems. It consists of neuromodulatory lipids and their receptors. There are two main types of receptors in the ECS: CB1 and CB2. CB1 receptors are primarily located in the central nervous system and brains of mammals, and CB2 receptors are generally found in the peripheral nervous system.
When you add CBD to your daily routine, alongside a healthy diet and exercise, you’re supporting the many functions of your endocannabinoid system.

If you’re just starting out, you might start with a lower amount and increase as needed. If you’ve used cannabinoids before, you might know that a greater strength is best for you. The goal is always a feeling of balance, whatever that means for you.

Typical suggested servings start at 1mg to 5mg of CBD per 10lbs of body weight.

CBD is non-intoxicating and supports the function of the endocannabinoid system by working alongside other phytocannabinoids (from a plant) and endogenous cannabinoids (produced by the body).
THC has a strong binding affinity with receptors in the ECS and is responsible for the high associated with marijuana. However, in the trace amounts found in hemp, THC is more subtle. Rather than causing a euphoric high, traces of THC complement the entourage effect experienced when consuming full-spectrum hemp extracts.

In our CBD isolate products, we re-introduce terpenes to encourage the entourage effect while keeping the products THC-free.

Delta 8 THC
For more detailed info, check out our blog post on Delta 8.
It is possible that Delta 8 THC can cause a positive drug test result. Unfortunately, most drug tests don’t differentiate between Delta 8 (hemp-derived) THC and Delta 9 (marijuana-derived) THC.
While broad-spectrum and isolate CBD products are considered THC-free, full-spectrum CBD oil contains less than 0.3% THC. Many people find that combining CBD with THC on a regular basis encourages the entourage effect, where cannabinoids synergistically work together. However, taking THC and CBD together may increase your risk of a positive drug test.
1. Understand the risks of consuming CBD and THC. While there are many potential benefits, it is important to be aware of local regulations, rules, and laws as they relate to THC.
2. Advocate for better drug tests at work, at schools, and within other institutions and organizations. Current drug testing doesn’t do a great job of detecting specific cannabinoids or differentiating between dangerous levels and not-so-dangerous levels. Better testing would allow more people to experience the potential benefits without having so much stigma or risk attached.
3. Help to educate your coworkers, friends, and family members. When appropriate, and in states where Delta 8 is legal, you may want to disclose your Delta 8 use to supervisors or friends in an effort to be transparent and proactive. For example, explaining to a manager that you take low levels of Delta 8 to stay productive may help to destigmatize use at work and allow you to work more efficiently without the fear or risk of being “caught.”
