Whether you’re new to CBD or a longtime fan of hemp extracts, there are a few things to keep in mind to get the most out of your product. Here are some helpful tips to make sure your Hemplucid CBD stays in great condition from start to finish.
Storing CBD Oils & Tinctures
It’s best to store tinctures in an upright position at room temperature. Keep your tinctures out of direct sunlight, heat, or moisture to avoid degradation or the separation of molecules inside the tincture.
We recommend a medicine cabinet, pantry, or drawer to keep your tincture in top shape. Tinctures made with hemp seed oil can also be stored in a refrigerator to prolong freshness and flavor. However, any storage solution that’s out of direct heat and sunlight that can be accessed daily will work. After all, the best results are experienced with consistent use.
Remember to shake your CBD oil tincture before use to avoid any separation and to keep servings consistent.
Gummies & Softgel Capsules
CBD Gummies and Softgel Capsules can be stored similarly to tinctures—at room temperature out of direct heat and sunlight. A cabinet or pantry will do fine.
Heat has the potential to melt both gummies and softgels, making them difficult to separate. And while one large “mega gummy” sounds like a fun idea, it sure complicates regular use. Avoid leaving them in a hot car so things don’t get messy (we’ve tested this ourselves and it is not recommended).
Body Creams & Topicals
Topical CBD products like our body creams or lip balm should also be kept out of direct sunlight and heat. When left in excessively warm areas or in direct sunlight, the oils will separate and become runny. After being separated by heat, it’s incredibly difficult to mix the components back together.
Store your topical CBD products at room temperature on a nightstand or dresser, or consider keeping them with other skincare products.
Pet Products
Like any other tinctures, Hemplucid Pets CBD can be stored at room temperature or in a cabinet with other pet treats. Refrigeration is also a fine option for preserving the freshness of the product, as long as the temperature is not too cold.
However, fish oil can be more tricky and is best stored in a cool, dry place between 50-70°F. When fish oil gets too cold it will begin to coagulate, resulting in a thick and difficult to use oil.
Store for Easy Access
Wherever you decide to keep your Hemplucid products, make sure they’re located in a spot where you can easily access them and include them in your daily routine. For example, keeping your gel caps and gummies near other daily supplements can be a helpful reminder. Or, if you have one, keeping topicals in your purse or backpack allows easy application while you are out and on the go.
