The CDC estimates that 1.6-3.8 million sports and recreation concussions happen each year in the U.S. 10% of all contact sport athletes sustain concussions yearly, and brain injuries cause more deaths than any other sports injury. But there is a light. It is suggested that helmets can reduce the risk of head injury by up to 60%.
LUCID IMPACT
With these stats in mind, we at HempLucid are excited to be partnering up with the Save a Brain Foundation for Giving Tuesday. Save a Brain is a Utah-based nonprofit that is dedicated to providing education, encouraging prevention, and spreading awareness of the long term mental and physical effects of traumatic brain injuries and concussions. They do this with their Happy Helmets Program and their Concussion Guide.
"We are so excited to partner with HempLucid for this Giving Tuesday! We share the same brand values when it comes to holistic healing and we are very grateful to make a greater impact together!"

HAPPY HELMETS PROGRAM
Save a Brain’s Happy Helmets Program donates new helmets to local charities, schools, and youth programs. Every month, they choose a different helmet sponsor and donor. The Concussion Guide is a recovery toolkit with information to help people find the best way to recover from their concussions. Here at HempLucid, we’re looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish by working together.
